author guidelines Thank you for your interest in writing for Rochester Healthy Living (RHL). RHL publishes articles on a variety of health-related topics. Our primary need is for tightly focused articles, 300-500 words in length, that provide sensible information to help our readers live healthier lives. All medical information must be scientifically sound and well-researched. On occasion we assign longer articles. If you think you have a topic that might interest us, we encourage you to first familiarize yourself with our magazine’s tone and content, then submit a proposal, including a synopsis of the article content, your bio, and sample clips of previously published material. Note that we prefer proposals rather than completed articles. Submitting a proposal to us will enable you to verify that we are interested in the article. It will also enable us to work with you to ensure your proposed article will meet our magazine’s needs and editorial calendar. Manuscripts and queries may be submitted either electronically or as hardcopy. All materials should be double-spaced and should include your name, daytime phone number, email address, and mailing address. Hardcopy submissions must be typewritten. Electronic submissions: We accept Word or Rich Text Format documents. Please email your submission to info@rochesterhealthyliving.com. Typewritten hardcopy submissions may be mailed to:Rochester Healthy Living Please enclose a SASE with your hardcopy submissions for our response. Please allow 2-4 weeks for a response. Payment for articles is contributor’s copies. Sincerely, David Harney
